This is the year Tiffany Williams is finally going be reunited with her longtime family friend Brett, only to find out he has a serious girlfriend. Tiffany pairs up with a recently-heartbroken Peter to win back the affection of their respective soulmates.

Tiffany Williams plans to confess her love for her longtime friend during the holiday season. However, her plans are derailed when she learns that he already has a girlfriend. While drowning her sorrows at a bar, Tiffany meets Peter Brooks, who is also heartbroken. Peter has come to town to win back his ex-girlfriend, only to find out that she has a new boyfriend. Tiffany and Peter hatch a plan in which they will pretend to be dating to make their respective love interests jealous. Peter goes to stay at Tiffany's home, where he is welcomed by the rest of the family. Over the next few days, the two continue to sell their fake relationship.
