Synopsis

Surfing Couch is a docu-travel show created by Barbara Vekaric and Gina Jakir. The first season has six episodes. It follows Croatian most adventurous couch-surfer Gina in her voyage through the Balkans. Season One is happening in Eastern Europe capitals: Belgrade, Pristina, Tirana, Podgorica, Sarajevo and Skopje. In each city Gina is hosted by an interesting person that introduces us to some specifics of his or her culture. She meets her hosts for the first time in life and spends three days with each of them. During her stay she is introduced to their personal stories as well as stories of the city they live in. We are all different with our unique set of rules and when someone is a guest at your house, you expect them to follow those. Sometimes pleasant, sometimes not, through these six episodes, Gina faces different people with their different lifestyles and we'll see how she juggles with her new discoveries.

The series premiered on the second channel of Croatian National Television.
