Synopsis

Lucy (Demi Moore) is the egotistical CEO of Incredible Edibles, America's premiere provider of edible cutlery. In her infinite wisdom, Lucy leads her staff, including her long-suffering assistants, Freddie (Karan Soni) and Jess (Jessica Williams) (Jess is working on a marketing campaign for Lucy, which Lucy simply is not satisfied with and constantly berates), on a corporate team-building caving weekend to New Mexico.

The team building begins with the task of moving a giant concrete boulder on to a truck. After failing to push the boulder, they attempt to use a large log as a lever to roll the boulder. This attempt also fails as the log snaps, shooting a piece into Aidan's (the intern) leg.

Both Jess and Freddie think they are in the running for a promotion to VP. At the very last minute, Lucy switches to the advanced hiking route, while their guide Brandon strongly suggests that they should take the beginner's route. The advanced route takes everyone into a nearby cave system. After spelunking through a narrow passageway, the group enter into a large cavern which is lit by a small generator.

Aidan (Calum Worthy) is the group intern and has wet his pants. Suzy (Nasim Pedrad) is absolutely terrified and begs Lucy to not include her in the trek. May (Jennifer Kim) has recently taken over accounting and is doing a shoddy job and is gently prodded on the same by Gloria (Martha Kelly).Freddie tells Jess that Lucy is playing them against each other as she needs both of them performing at their best to keep the company afloat as one of their major accounts has been leaking money non-stop.

As the group explores the cavern, a small earthquake occurs, unnerving the group. Not even their useless guide Brandon (Ed Helms) can save them. Brandon dies when the only exit tunnel collapses with him inside it. The group has no escape, very limited food and low water supplies. Billy (Dan Bakkedahl) is furious that he was made to give up his water supply just because he came prepared.

Lucy reckons they will be rescued in a few hours and designates a toilet area and a private area in the cave. Trapped inside the cave, the group quickly descends into chaos. Aidan begins hallucinating. May and Suzy are lesbians and use the private area for sex. Day 1 comes to an end when the group explain Freddie's nickname (FT) actually means "Fuck Toy" because Freddie and Lucy maintain a sexual relationship, albeit Freddie reveals that Lucy is actually "Weinsteinning him."Freddie is angry with Lucy for playing him against Jess and refuses to be her sex toy anymore.

Day 2 starts when Gloria accuses Lucy of being a completely insensitive person. Lucy refuses to give Gloria a one-dollar bill to use as toilet paper (despite the fact that it is her birthday). Following these revelations, the group expresses their immense hatred toward Lucy, who arrogantly defends herself.

Jess and Freddie pile in when they reveal that Lucy's latest account (Vanderson Wealth Trust) are losing money and soon the company won't have any money left. Freddie and Jess also accuse Lucy of stealing any good ideas they come up with. Freddie says that he came up with the idea of edible cutlery, and before that Lucy used to sell beauty products.

Day 5. Aidan had a leg injury which is now smelling badly. The group is out of food and water. Freddie suggests eating Brandon. The group has an intense debate, but Lucy is against consuming another human being. Everybody votes and they decide to eat Brandon. Billy finds that one of Brandon's arms is missing and eventually they find it in Lucy's possession. She was trying to keep Brandon all for herself. After this, Lucy loses complete control of the group. The situation becomes worse when the generator runs out of power, plunging the group into darkness.

Suzy reveals that she had sex with Brandon days before the office trip. It is also revealed that Lucy didn't file the paperwork for the trip with the rangers, like she said she did. and thus, nobody now even knows that the entire team is missing and where they are.

Soon Brandon is completely eaten away. The battery in the case runs out. Aidan says that he has a lamp that uses the kinetic energy generated from the wanking motion of his hand into light. Freddie decides to lead Jess and Billy further down the cave system to try and find a way out. They find water inside the cave, and when Freddie and Billy drink it, they totally flip out and hallucinate. Eventually their headlamp dies, and they make their way back to the cave where the rest of their team is.

Day 9: Aidan has gangrene in his leg now. Gloria writes a will saying if she dies everyone can eat her except Lucy. Lucy and Gloria don't like each other from the beginning of the trip. Slowly the whole group turns against Lucy, when they learn that she hired them (all minorities) because the company got money from the minorities commission for her affirmative action. Lucy is badly injured when a fight breaks out and she trips and falls headfirst on a rock. Just moments later they are about to be rescued. Lucy tells Freddie that she will jail the entire team once they get out.Lucy assaults Jess after a verbal confrontation and Freddie pushes Lucy in an effort to help Jess. Lucy falls and hits her head on a rock on the ground, becoming immobile. As she lies on the ground, Lucy threatens and belittles Freddie.

The group then hears a drill at the top of the cave, and Jess rallies the workers in moving a large rock with a lever in order to hurry along their rescue. The rock falls and crushes Lucy just as the drill punches through the top of the cave. In the ensuing interview, the group recounts their experience, lying about Lucy's demeanor and Brandon's behavior so that they appear better than they were.When the press interviews them, the team replies that a rock fell on Lucy while she slept.
