A summer day in Chicago: Paul and Julie are a couple just beginning. Julie finally takes the first step to introduce herself to Paul and they immediately connect. At the same time, Paul's roommate Claudio and his ex-girlfriend bicker like an old married couple as they run errands to prepare Tess for a summer job in Italy. These two couples come together for a good-bye dinner for Tess, where one relationship blossoms while the other shatters.—Anonymous

The lives of the four principle characters, all recent college graduates in their early-to-mid-20s, intersect over a period of 24 hours. Through the interactions of these smart, soulful, and creative young people the viewer becomes privy to provocative but playful insights into how men and women relate to each other at different stages of a relationship.
