Summaries

Connect Disconnect is a 15 minute experimental film with an original music score. It is a silent film with a bare bones narrative, based on a painting project conceived to help patients, with different degrees of Parkinson Disease, coordinate their hands, mind and eye. The project is inspired by the work of George Seurat and Chuck Close, to allow the patients to recognize the beauty of the marks and abstract forms they are able to make. The deconstruction of an image into small parts was suggested in order to simplify the reconstruction of an image. The film traces this progression with the intention of placing focus on the process, the people and their experience of their own limits making reference to a wider experience of life simultaneously.—Anonymous
