Superhero is set in the fictional suburban town of Maddenville where an orphaned Samar Khan works at a local restaurant named after his widower boss and new paternal figure, Jason. After leaving the boys home where he grew up, Samar adopted the alter-ego of 'Zeitgeist', an anonymous therapist posing as a superhero for townsfolk in hopes to fix their life problems. Being his truest and only confidante, Jason continues to mentor Samar's secret vigilante life, even when it means running the restaurant all alone half the time. Everything is seemingly great for the superhero-therapist, from Meera: the girl next door, to Farhan: his best friend and Zeitgeist's biggest fan. But it's not long before his saviour complex begins to indirectly harm those closest to him, who eventually turn on Samar in pursuit of his alter-ego.—Inderveer Sodhi
