"City of Syrup" documentary indicts the music industry for rampant use of the drug promethazine amongst teenagers and adult fans across the world. The street name for promethazine is "sizzurp" an odd concoction of soda, candy and prescription cough syrup that rappers and pop artist have used and bragged about in the lyrics of their songs. The film investigates why the drug is so popular amongst music fans and the effect it has had on its listeners via artist such as: Drake, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, Three Six Mafia and many others.
