A racketeer uses a waitress to get information from the district attorney whom she comes to love.

Ellen Ward (Phyllis Brooks), a café waitress yearning for a better life, forsakes promising young assistant district attorney Donald Sanford (Robert Wilcox for Charles Blake (Ricardo Cortez), a smooth gangster who can give her the better things in life.
