Cingöz Recai, who has just been released from prison, makes a plan for a new robbery. He robs the house of merchant Selim with his men. After learning about the robbery, Commissioner Mehmet Riza goes after Recai. Recai likes Selma, the stepdaughter of Selim, whom he met during the robbery.
Based on the early-20th century stories by famous writer Peyami Safa, Cingöz Recai tells the adventures of Recai, nicknamed Cingöz (meaning cunning, sly). He's a lovable thief, always evades the police in creative ways, and actually enjoys the chase. Although he's a criminal, a master of disguise and an expert at pulling elaborate capers, he also helps people in need. The stories are heavily influenced by Arsene Lupin stories by French author Maurice Leblanc.—suicidea
