"Cine Trash" was a hosted horror movie show with José Mojica Marins as "Zé do Caixão" (Coffin Joe). The show first aired on 5 February 1996, with foreign horror films presented. Accompanied by his Pombas Giras (Sweet Doves), Coffin Joe makes a brief introduction of the film to be shown, teaches a lesson of morality to the adolescent public (the "Recommendation of the Hour"), culminating with the Plague of the Day, which challenged the viewer to dare change the channel or turn off the television set.
