Ching Chang, meaning Hate, is a multi-generational story about the love affairs of four sisters, Im, Oon, Bang Orn and Aree. Although the daughters of the strict Village Chief Kaew, greed, jealousy and infatuations have them constantly competing and bickering. Im, the eldest, is gentle and beautiful; naturally, she draws the attention of eligible bachelors. She is the love of Yod, the village hoodlum, who would do anything to have her; but, he has to compete for her with the wealthy and respectable In. Meanwhile, Oon is in love with Yod and Bang Orn wants In; they each scheme, separately, to get their man by getting Im out of the way. In despair, Yod resorts to black magic to make Im fall in love with him. They run away together, the day before Im is to marry In. Furious, In then swears that he will pour his entire life into getting revenge against Yod and getting Im back. Hate, love, obsession, and passion set in motion the scheming that will reign havoc over the lives of the four sisters and the men who love them.
