Chief is a semi-autobiographical of sixteen-short films about an African American fathers return home from prison, and the effect of his return on his family. Keir returns home wrought with guilt only to find his wife Sarah and son Za' living in a desolate basement. Sarah is struggling to reconcile her son's need for a father and her need for a husband whose influence can hurt rather than help her son. Chief is an examination of what can't be said and how what isn't said controls our lives.—Anonymous
