The German train stops at a small station. The partisan Velichko receives an order to rescue four Russian prisoners of war, who are in one of the boxcar. The partisans blow up a rail bridge. A shootout begins. Velichko leads he four in the wood. One of the participants in the rescue mission is captured. Velichko hears that information has leaked out and he contacts the old man Krastan, who lead the group in deep in mountains. On his way back, the police capture Krastan. The old man leads the search party down the wrong path. They figure it out and shoot him. The pursuit continues. One of the Russian is killed in a shoot out.
