A screenwriter returns to his hometown to get some inspiration for a new screenplay and ends up getting into a bit of jam with the Feds and a local criminal.

Looking for a new idea for a screenplay, Nick Alba returns home to the old neighborhood on the North End of Providence, RI. Somehow, less than two days later he finds himself caught between the Feds and an old friend, Richie, one of the last remaining wiseguys on Charles Street, Also at the same time, Nick is trying to help Richie's daughter, Rebecca, pursue her dream to be an actress. Now, it's going to take every ounce of Nick's acting talent in order to get out of this disaster of a homecoming trip as a free man.
