Widowed mother Charleigh, once wealthy, moves to rural Midwest to live with relatives, facing unfamiliar farm life. Neighbor Halen's brother Krister falls for her beauty while rich Seth pursues her, offering a comfortable life.

When Charleigh (Christina-Mae Loeffler), a young, previously wealthy, newly-widowed mother, finds herself destitute and is forced to travel to the Midwest to live with her only relatives, she is affronted with a harsh reality. Hoping to find loved ones to care for her and infant daughter, Charleigh soon realizes that she is the caregiver. She is ignorant of farm life and all that entails and is thankful for the help and friendship from her Aunt Eddie (OvaJean Siemens), and her neighbors Genevieve (Larissa Loeffler), and Halen (Zeke Sidwell). As Halen's visiting brother, Krister (David Farmer), falls for Charleigh's beauty, Seth Benton (Jeff Lester) the richest man in town has his eyes on Charleigh. He is conceited and rude, but can offer the life of wealth Charleigh was accustomed to and provide for her and her family. Not wishing to ever marry again, but given no other choice, Charleigh is faced with a life-altering decision.
