The movie is about an innocent Sharmila Tagore, who meets Sanjeev Kumar and they fall in love with each other. A twist in the story happens and he gets married to another girl (Yogeeta Bali). After a long time he meets Sharmila, who has changed and became a prostitute. And in time of crisis, she helps him.
