Chantal is a 20-year-old, naive, deluded and innocent young woman from a nameless Hicksville town in Iowa who arrives in Hollywood, California in her quest to become a world-famous actress. Unfamilar with the Tintsletown dialects and the soulless nature of people, Chantal falls victim to the L.A. scene in renting a dirty hotel room, getting mugged in a local park, falls in with a young photographer who forces her to pose for pornography, and suffers the casting couch routine as *every* agent, manager, photographer, and casting director tries to get her in bed with them. Chantal meets and forms a bond with Tracy, a young prostitute who helps her though the dangerous and ruthless life.
