Summaries

'Changing Tides' is a short documentary about an inspirational character (Denver native Jason Pipoly) who suffered a horrific car accident and became a paraplegic and went on to defy all odds to conquer what most able-bodied humans only dream of. Before the age of 11 years old, Jason Pipoly was the youngest to attempt to swim the turbulent waters of the English Channel. Then, exactly 20 years later, he was the first to swim it again successfully, but this time as a paraplegic. The film sets out to show how one individual who had a near death experience, and can only use his shoulders and upper arms, completely flipped his life around to attempt physical and mental accomplishments that otherwise seem humanly impossible to overcome.
