Two look-a-likes, a mental asylum inmate and a rich businessman, land at places meant for each other.

At the operation theatre, surgeon Dr. Keshav Chowdhary, performs an important surgery over his wife but loses her, and subsequently, his mental stability. This lands him at a mental asylum. After a few years, he succeeds escaping asylum and reaches railway station to board a train. At the very same time his look-a-like, Vikram Chowdhary, a rich businessman from Zanzibar Africa, also reaches railway station to be back with his nephew Balwant Rai Chowdhary and his family comprising of his wife Sarla and three children, Ranga, Prema and Babu, after 40 years. No one knows Vikram Chowdhary by face, so Sarla brings Keshav to their home. Vikram gets caught by police and brought to mental asylum. What ensues thereafter, is a series of inspiring and motivating events, both at Balwant Rai adobe and the mental asylum.—Vinod Arya
