Love drama from the Jutland heath in the 19th century. Mikkel Krænsen, a peddler of knitted goods, wants the best for his daughter Cecilia, who is in love with the neighbor's son Esben. Only too late, the father realizes that love is not as manageable as business. TV adaptation of Blicher's 1829 short story.
