Dick Van Dyke hosted this splashy, "one-shot wonder" special - from the producers of "The Carol Burnett Show" - celebrating the then-upcoming 1977-78 TV season on CBS, featuring musical production numbers, comedy sketches, clips from new and returning CBS shows, and cameo appearances by many CBS stars (including Carol Burnett herself). Van Dyke also took viewers on a guided tour of the CBS Television City facility in Hollywood, where many CBS series and specials were videotaped.—William Bennett Warfield
