After leaving CBS (1948 to 1951) to NBC, legendary Radio News Correspondent Robert Trout returned to CBS in 1952. He doubled as a radio/television network correspondent and as main anchor of local evening news at CBS' New York City television flagship, WCBS-TV from 1952 until June 17, 1965.
