A Tennessee housewife becomes a self-employed, private investigator in discovering her husband's infidelity as well as helping other people with her newfound detective skills.

Jodie Colter, a long-suffering homemaker in Tennessee, becomes a private detective in order to track her husband, whom she strongly suspects is cheating on her. Jodie finds herself so good at her work that she helps other women with the same problem to get evidence that will enable them to divorce their husbands.—Matthew Patay
