Toyama Kinshiro, a 30-year-old newly-appointed police chief at Kitamachi Police Station, is determined to protect the community by listening to its citizens. Though aloof and quirky, he possesses sharp investigative instincts and uncovers clues others miss. Unlike his elite colleagues, Kinshiro prefers active fieldwork over desk duties, solving even minor crimes. His unorthodox methods, however, lead to tension with his subordinates.
