Summaries

As childhood friends, Joe and Justin spent summers at their neighborhood creek building makeshift rafts, fishing for crawdads, and dreaming of great river adventures. Now, as The Okee Dokee Brothers, they have realized these boyhood dreams on none other than the great Mississippi River. This film tells the story of The Okee Dokee Brothers' month-long canoe trip, the songs they wrote on the river, and a life-long friendship. It includes educational segments, camping shenanigans, music videos, interviews, and pristine nature scenes. The film's goal is to inspire kids and families to embrace the natural world as a means of respecting the animals, people, and life that surrounds us. All the footage was filmed on location along the Mississippi River.—Anonymous
