AMANDA WRIGHT is content with her work as a school music teacher. She lives on her own in aquaint cottage in Coonoor, South India, and keeps mostly to herself. Her husband Trevor Wrightleft her many years ago for another woman, moved to Melbourne, where he died of a heart attack.
Amanda habitually takes long cycle rides around the hills and dales of Coonoor. She lovesstrumming her ukulele and composing sad songs, especially on cold nights when she recalls herpast.
