Byomkesh Bakshi is a Bengali detective who is called on for a spine-chilling case with his assistant/friend Ajit.

Byomkesh Bakshi investigates the mysterious death of Anadi Haldar, a foul-mouthed man with a mysterious past. During this time he comes into contact with many mysterious persons, including the adopted son, his governess, and the nephew of the deceased man. Accompanied by his best friend/assistant Ajit, Byomkesh investigates only to realise that it will not be a cakewalk.
