Canadian bush pilot Red North, in love with school teacher Hilary Ward, encounters trouble when his half-brother, Paul Girard, muscles in on his territory and his girl. During their feud, Hilary's brother, Chuck Ward, is killed in an air crash and she blames Red. When Paul is chosen for a dangerous mission flying nitro, Hilary volunteers to guide him.
