Burning Butterflies is a Lovecraftian horror with jump-scare and gore elements, which will keep the audience to the edge of their seats with bated breath. The film explores the uncertainty and absurdity of life unfolding a dark reality.

The core concept of the film comes from the ideology of an existential philosophical crisis. In this technologically driven era of 21st century, humans are subjected through constant alterations. As a result, life has become uncertain and dire consequences have become more commonplace. The film follows a rhythm where it starts with a relatively normal flow but rises to a peak of insanity; finally culminating in an imperious symphony of destruction and mayhem - from which the existential fatality of life and death glares through. There is no happy ending in reality and our characters in the film come to terms with this as they weave through an unsure world. The film explores the nuances of these alterations and absurdities of today's uncertain life, where death may come at any moment. The film Burning Butterflies fabricates this story in a very nihilistic manner, thus, reflecting on the truth of our present lives.—Shailik Bhaumik
