Private detective Christopher Adams chases a precious antique jade lion through the Mexican cafes, auto courts, and the seamy side of Los Angeles.

Christopher Adams, a private detective, gives up his search for a valuable piece of jade when his last suspect is killed by the police. He takes a bungalow at a cheap auto court for a rest and finds the owner, Gus Barton (Frank Cady), involved in the case.
