A detective (Roger Pryor) courts a gangster's (Anthony Quinn) ex-wife (Joan Perry) to lure him into a trap.

Patricia Van Dyne has just married her husband Tony. McKay and Elaine Standish, wealthy acquaintances, offer her use of their Florida residence for the honeymoon. She accepts the offer. Her marriage turns to a nightmare when Tony robs the Standish residence, and forces Patricia to flee with him. Tony soon abandons her, and Patricia is arrested for his crime. She is able to clear her name and seeks a quick divorce. The detective Mike O'Hara (who is in charge of the case) arrangers for a sham marriage between himself and Patricia, in hope of luring Tony out. Tony soon appears and kidnaps both Patricia and Mike, transporting them to to the Florida Keys. Patricia is able to contact the police through a written message, leading to Tony's arrest. Mike offers Patricia a quick divorce, but she has fallen for him and she declines the offer.—Dimos I
