Ten years later, Einar Hansson, the stepson of the dead night watch, receives a telephone call from the owner of restaurant Paradiset. Einar is to pick up an envelope at a tobacconist, containing vital information about the robbery. At the tobacconist shop, Einar runs into a young woman Eva.
