Eighteen-year-old Sandra develops anorexia, and her family struggles to figure out how to support her.
Sandra is an eighteen-year-old girl. She's smart and pretty, with a family that loves her and a radiant future awaiting her. She falls in love with Saverio, and decides to attract his attention by going on a diet. Losing weight proves easy- too easy to stop. It becomes a compulsion, and when Sandra's parents learn what's going on, it's a veritable lightning strike. While her mother Elena struggles with a sense of guilt, her father Vittorio is crushed by his insecurities.
Sandra, 18, is an intelligent and pretty young woman with a loving family and a bright future ahead. Nevertheless one day, she stops eating in order to get slimmer, and than can't just recover.
