A pair of criminals try to track down the kids who witnessed them commit a murder in the woods.

An innocent camping trip takes a dark turn for a young brother and sister, when they witness a murder. The young siblings become the killers' next target as they are chased and hunted through the wilderness. Serving time over a protest gone terribly wrong, their father, Jack Damson (Fraser), devises a plan to break out of prison and rescue his kids from the pair of criminals, Tommy (Purcell) and Kenny (Suplee). The environmentalist Jack Damson accidentally kills a man during a protest in the woods and is imprisoned. Years later, his former wife and lawyer Maria now is living with their daughter Jenny and their son Mikey with Jack's friend Chuck. Chuck invites Jenny and Mikey to go camping in the woods. Meanwhile the psychopath Tommy Baxter travels with his retarded brother Kenny to a cabin in the same forest and Tommy kills the owner. However Jenny and Mikey witness the murder and Tommy hunts them. Jenny loses her cellular and Kenny calls Maria believing that she is his mother. Maria tells Jack what is happening and he breaks out of prison to rescue the siblings from the criminals.
