In a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by the corporation's war, the Bounty Killers are very popular, hunting down former executives and receiving large amounts as reward. Mary Death and her mentor, Drifter, are the most popular bounty killers. Drifter hires the gun caddy Jack LeMans and soon he learns that he is wanted by the Council of Nine.
