Betty and Marc, a happy couple, struggles with their ordinary life, their jobs which do not fit, Marc's mom who is a terrible bore. They live from one weekend to the next and try to escape reality by imagining they are Bonnie and Clyde. They shoot with baby guns, dress up like their hero's and dream of going to the U.S.A. One day, while running an errand for Marc's mother, they are in the wrong place at the wrong time and witness a murder. In order not to be killed by Alfredo, a ruthless gangster and his gang, they present themselves as fellow criminals. This bluff keeps them alive but they get an assignment : they have to break into the mansion of a rivaling gang, the Torrieti's and steal a large sum of money.
