A Police Officer, who is also Aboriginal, arrives in outback central Australia from a big city. He begins to solve local major crimes. Not only through his intelligence, as he is highly educated, but also using skills he has learnt from his Aboriginal culture.—Tim Kerr-Thomson

The cases of detective inspector Napoleon Bonaparte - part aboriginal, part white - carrying out his investigations throughout Australia. The show created a bit of a stir through its use of blacking up the lead actor to play the half-caste Boney.
