A boys pet fish has died. He is torn inside and seeks his parents out for help. His rough family life forces him to go out and search for a new pet. He finds an abandoned pet store where his curiosity brings him trouble.
The film is about a boy and him losing his pet fish. His parents are not very friendly to him and so they do not help him what so ever in finding a new pet. He goes out searching for one himself but only finds trouble for himself. The film is meant to be surrealistic and parts don't necessarily flow in a linear structure or with general meaning. The film while being about a child and made in After Effects to look cartoony will have a darker underlying meaning not suitable for children. There are suggestions of child kidnapping as well as child abuse scattered about the film if you look for it. There is a sequence in which the boy has passed out of consciousness and exists in a dream like state where he and the rest of his world has transformed. Everything is more pleasant and he is interacting with his father and his mother as a regular family might. This scene last for only a few moments before ending but over all suggests that the boy is without a normal life. The boy finds another pet in the store.—Douglas Lawlor
