A chef, in possession of a stolen gangster's money, flees to Thailand where he poses as a doctor.

Chef Shankar Bhatawdekar lives a middle-classed lifestyle in Mumbai along with his widowed mom. After an encounter with a gangster named Khan, who finds out that Shankar has stolen a valuable item that belonged to his son, Jamal, sends Shankar fleeing to Bangkok, Thailand, along with a team of medical professionals. He manages to conceal the item amongst medical supplies, and poses as a medical professional himself. He blunders his way as a medico, arousing suspicion, especially by Dr. Rati, compounded by the arrival of Khan's son, Jamal, and his romance with Jasmine, a volunteer and a part-time masseuse, She, too, is attracted to him - without knowing that this attraction will soon get her arrested by the Thai Police, leaving Shankar virtually between a rock and a hard place - he must now decide to return to India and be killed by Khan, or stay on in Bangkok and be arrested - this time for theft of medical supplies.—rAjOo ([email protected])

Synopsis

Director Nagesh Kukoonor and Shreyas Talpade team up for the third time in a row, after Iqbal and Dor with a breezing comedy "Bombay to Bangkok".

The film has Shreyas playing Shankar, a Mumbai cook. In desperate need of money, Shankar steals from the local Don named Khan (Naseerudin Shah). Giving the Dons croonies a slip, he escapes his way into a team of Doctors heading for relief work to Bangkok but loses the all important money bag into the chaos. In Bangkok his world turns upside down at a bar where he bumps into lovely Jasmine (Lena) who is a volunteer and a part time massage. The hitch is she is all Thai and he cant converse with her at all. A ray of home comes his way the next day when Jasmine turns up desperately in need of a Doctor.Shankar posing as an Doctor alongwith the goofy Sardar buddy Rachinder, jumps into this whirlpool while Jasmine soon gets pulled into his bumbling adventures while running away from the Don and his henchmen. Hot on their trail are the Dons rapper son Jamal Khan (Vijay Maurya) and his henchmen who have landed in Bangkok to retrieve their money. Hop into the hilarious comedy of errors with Shankar as he discovers love and life in a rollicking ride from Bombay to Bangkok
