After he undergoes a throat operation, Slip and the gang discover that Sach now possesses a beautiful singing voice and try to figure out how to make money off of it.

A tonsillectomy leaves Sach with a beautiful crooning voice. With prospects of wealth before him, Slip transforms Louie's Sweet Shop into The Bowery Palace nightclub, with headliner Sach as "The Bowery Thrush." Their success crimps the business at Rick Martin's nightclub across the street, the Rio Cabana. Unable to sabotage the prosperity of The Bowery Palace otherwise, Rick sics his girlfriend/headliner Lola Stanton on Sach to entice him across the street. Slip's girlfriend, Sally Dolan, intervenes to put things right.—statmanjeff
