Vicki Morrison is the niece of the irascible old scoundrel Uncle William Morrison. When Vicki's boyfriend and owner of a Broadway nightclub Duke Randall needs $63,000 in a hurry, Vicki fakes her own kidnapping to raise the ransom money from her uncle. Nightclub owner Duke Randall loses more than $60,000 to a rigged poker game run by gangster Ice Larson. Duke promises to have the money in a week or Larson can have his club, the Paradise Garde3ns. While heading home, Duke gets into an accident caused by heiress Vicki Morrison, and he's knocked unconscious. Vicki takes him home and takes care of him until he awakens. Duke explains his predicament to Vicki and her feisty uncle William, who is worried Duke will sue them because of the accident. On top of that, Duke later gets into a fight with Larson and his gang, who then plan to rob Vicki of all her diamond jewelry. Duke must find a way to pay off Larson, keep his club, stop the crooks from stealing Vicki's jewelry and convince crusty Uncle William that he is the right man for Vicki.[email protected]
