Sebastian works at the beloved news program Blits-Bulletin and his biggest dream is to read the news. When Ben, the veteran newsreader, dies suddenly, new opportunities beckon for Sebastian and he eagerly follows the lead of his hero and imaginary partner Riaan Cruywagen. But his boss, Lorraine, gives the job to her inexperienced, spoiled son, Luan, upsetting Sebastian's plans. He fights hard to prove himself as a field announcer with the hope that one day he can move behind the prestigious news desk in the studio. He finds himself in all sorts of interesting situations with JP, the cucumber-cool cameraman; Rudolph the Weatherman; Andrei, the journalist and producer with a male name; Luan and Lorraine.
