A young man arrives in Athens to study at the School of Fine Arts. He doesn't let the events at the Polytechnic in November 1973 affect his studies, and he also begins an affair with a girl.
Eager to follow his dreams, young Kostas leaves Thessaloniki and the family's business to move to bustling Athens. More than anything in the world, ambitious Kostas wants to study art at the School of Fine Arts and become a painter; however, the open anti-junta revolt and the escalating socio-political changes, triggered by the Athens Polytechnic Uprising on 14 November 1973, stand in the way of fulfilling his aspiration. Now, unable to fit in and carve his own path, Kostas is forced to compromise, be obedient and, eventually, embrace his predetermined destiny.—Nick Riganas
