Vytas, a 32 year old sound designer lives a routine and structure life alone and self contained in his his own flat, leaving only for work and indulge in his passion of sound recording.Suddenly after being out of contact with his sister for 5 years one day he arrives home to find his sister and her 10 year old daughter waiting for him on his doorstep with his sister insistent on leaving her daughter with him whilst she takes an opportunity to travel to London for work.Vytas reluctantly accepts but after weeks of no contact with his sister he is finally force to stop ignoring and neglecting his niece and begins trying to engage in some form of communication with her unsucesssfully.At work Vytas' routine is interrupted when his university professor friend sends him an assistant to help him with his work to which he can not refuse.After several frosty encounters Vytas is forced to take on the help of his assistant, but not in the form he would have expected when his assistant discovers that his niece is deaf.Bored out of guilt over not realising that his niece is deaf he begins to actively search for a way of communicating which finally takes on a form based on a mixture of chocolates, cartoons and sound vibrations.Three months later, after having his own view and perspective of life reshaped by his niece, his sister returns out of nowhere having worked the past three months as a stripper in London earning a good amount of money and finding a black Caribbean rapper boyfriend, demanding to have her daughter so she can take her to London.At the same time as his sister returning from London Vytas receives a job offer to go and work in Sweden with a well respected director which he accepts after some contemplation.After a confrontation between Vytas and his sister the niece is asked who she would prefer to live with, her mum in London or her uncle in Sweden, the answer to which we never find out.
