"Belleflower" gives a snapshot of mental illness through Sam's story. We follow Sam, a burgeoning painter, as he spirals deeper into his own mind throughout the development of Schizophrenia. Throughout the journey, Sam's relationships take a front seat. "Belleflower" explores Sam's relationship with Devin, his guarded yet brotherly roommate, as well as Belle, a free-spirited young woman who Sam soon falls in love with. As Sam sinks further into his mind, the lines of reality and hallucination begin to blur and Sam is forced to ask him what is real and confront the pain of reality.—Brian Ruliffson and Laura Austin
