Morteza is a deaf-mute boy who lives with his mother in a village in Northern Iran. A new principal, Mr Fattahi, arrives to Morteza's school, and soon the strict principal and the boy have a series of misunderstandings. Mr Fatahi tries to appease Morteza's wild spirit but soon falls victim to the charms of Morteza's beautiful and widowed mother.
