Charlie is in his early 20s, feels neither a man nor a woman and sets out to find his own way in non-binary life. Charlie still lives at home with her mother Rowena, who has neither her own life nor the family finances under control. Both shimmy from job to job, so Charlie is currently on the road as a bicycle courier and notices more and more often that the expectations of those around him do not match his own feelings. Charlie doesn't seem to fit in anywhere, neither with the cool guys nor with the overly made-up girls. Add to that the stress in her chaotic family when Aunt Fabia suddenly shows up to collect long-delayed debts. In the midst of all this, Charlie is plagued by the question: Where do I actually belong? In his search for his own identity and the life he imagines, Charlie finds refuge and an outlet for his feelings only in rap music.
