Beau Pluto sits at a black grand piano that is decorated with white neon lights. He begins to perform "Prélude Op. 23 No. 5" by Sergei Rachmaninoff, and as the music progresses Beau Pluto visually expresses the emotions found in the music.
The music video begins with Beau Pluto sitting at a black grand piano that is decorated with white neon lights and performing "Prélude Op. 23 No. 5" by Sergei Rachmaninoff. As the music progresses, the scene changes and Beau Pluto enters a room filled with scantily clad mannequins against a red and orange background. He wanders amongst them, conveying a feeling of isolation and otherness, which is expressed by the stark difference between the movement on his part and the immobility of the mannequins. In the course of the video, Beau Pluto can be seen clutching his arm, baring his torso and writhing on the floor, incorporating elements of performance art and horror, whilst coping with the societal encouragement of conformity. This is the second music video from Beau Pluto's debut album LIBERATION, and symbolizes the liberation from negativity and from the restrictive and culturally coined beauty ideals.—Homme Royal
