During this period, several unknown tips appear on the GPD's radar, all while Commissioner Jim Gordon struggles to track down the majority of these crimes without the help of either the late DA or the Caped Crusader, forcing him to work outside of jurisdiction, and walking the land of the Batman. In his own vigilantism, the cost of the Commissioner's ways provokes a former enemy to make his "check-mate" move, leaving Bruce to face the consequences of his actions.
