Bastion is a re-worked cold war story set in an alternative Britain where war between old rivals is imminent and the government has become more an more fascist. Within this turmoil, David and his pregnant wife Abigail escape the oppressive city, but their loyalties and alliances soon fray and their relationship is tested by suspicion, mistrust and secrecy. Espionage, revolt and murder ensue as their marriage and the future of Britain tumble towards their ultimate, dark destiny.—Peter Wobser
